When is Eva Lourdes Salazar coming?!!!

Well . . . your guess is as good as ours.  We think it might be the 23rd of December.  Yup!  This is going to definitely be a different Christmas.  Joaquin, Lety and her family will be celebrating Christmas in Seattle.  Andrea, Eva (?), and I will be in Wisconsin, freezing our bottoms!!  We will have to do a "skype" celebration.  Looking forward to meeting Eva . ..  but definitely not looking forward to being unbelievably cold!!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  And a big apology goes to those whom I did not send this blog earlier.  I'm hoping the next time you all hear from me, I will be giving instructions on how to survive frigid temperatures.

The pictures!

It was a beautiful sunny day, in a beautiful room full of Andrea's friends and cohorts, and we had another family member attend, my cousin from Chicago (she traveled 3 hours one way just to be here).    And yes, we played the typical games.   There was one game where my cousin and I thought that we were a sure bet to win, after all we are experienced mothers --- regardless of what or kids think.   There were 27 questions.  Andrea's guests are either master's program students or Phd students, with no children.  Aha! we thought, we will definitely win.  There was 1 winner with all questions answered correctly . . . and it wasn't us!!!  We only got 8 out of 27 correct.  My cousin Ellen and I unhappily agreed with our kids' belief that "we know nothing."

Update!

You get to have a second chance on guessing due date.  According to doctor, baby is "robust", whatever that means, so far weighs approximately 3 lbs 2 oz.  Radiologist says baby is coming two weeks earlier!  But my question is: 2 weeks from when?  January 2nd or December 27?

Stay tuned for pictures!  Shower is Sunday . . . and I will be there too!!  Sorry you all are missing it, because I'm making enchiladas of mole, mexican rice, and maybe some chilaquiles.  The attendees are mostly students, so I know that most claim that they are "starving, poor students."  However, when I'm there they all seem to hit the local restaurants, eat cheese curds (delicacy in Wisconsin) and drink beer.   I don't mind being motherly and cooking up a storm.  (maybe I'm being too soft?)  I'll post food pictures.
